What to Expect – Guidelines for Your Wig Fitting Appointment
The following rules have been formulated as a result of government guidelines and advice from our local Environmental Health Office, taking into account Covid 19. Whilst they may seem strict, they take into account that Embrace is a small shop with no ventilation in the fitting room areas. We trust that you understand and that we are committed to ensuring that our customers, particularly those who are immune-suppressed, remain safe.
GENERAL
- All wig fittings are by appointment only.
- The number of people allowed into the wig fitting room is restricted to 1 employee and the customer, plus carer, relative or friend.
- Staff will use the handwashing facilities prior to the appointment taking place.
- Staff will be equipped with face covering which they will wear if requested to do so by the customer
- Unfortunately, there are no customer toilet facilities on site
PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT
- Upon making an appointment the customer will be asked for a full name, DOB, telephone number and email address
- We will email you with our “What to Expect” email, a registration form and a series of Covid-19 screening questions
- We will ask you to select 4 wigs to try on, which enables us to have them ready for the appointment. Don’t worry, if it becomes clear during the appointment that other styles may be better – we can try these on too!
- Customers should postpone their appointment if they or any of their household is feeling unwell or showing symptoms of Covid-19. These include a high temperature, a continuous cough or a loss or lessening of your sense of smell or taste.
DURING THE APPOINTMENT
- Customers are asked to minimise hand contact with the wigs and to allow the assistant to fit them
- Wig caps will be used at each appointment.
- We will ensure that the surfaces are sanitised after each fitting and the door will be left open while the fitting room is not in use
